Arora Shop ("we", "us", "our") runs this website and the counter it is named after, in Bhram Butta Market, near the Golden Temple, Amritsar. This page explains what we collect when you browse or order with us, why, and what say you have over it. By using this site, you agree to what is described here.

1 What we collect

We collect only what is needed to take and deliver an order, and to let you sign in and track it:

• Contact details — your name, phone number, email address and delivery address, given at checkout.
• Account details — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile photo from Google, so you don't have to type a password on a shop counter's website.
• Order details — what you bought, quantities, amounts, and any coupon used.
• Payment reference — if you pay by UPI, only the transaction/UTR reference number you enter is stored against your order, so we can match the payment. We never see or store your UPI PIN, bank login or card numbers — that stays entirely inside your UPI app or bank.
• Basket contents — kept in your browser only (session storage) so your cart survives moving between pages; it is not part of the shared database and clears when you close the tab.

2 How we use it

We use your information to take, prepare, dispatch and support your order — confirming it by email, updating you on dispatch and delivery, reaching you by phone or WhatsApp if something about the order needs checking, and answering questions you send us. We do not use your details for anything beyond running this shop.

3 Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. It is only shared with the services that make the shop work:

• Google Firebase — hosts our product catalogue, orders and accounts (Firestore and Authentication), so the same catalogue and your orders stay in sync across devices.
• EmailJS — sends the order-confirmation emails, using only the order details needed for that email.
• Any courier we hand your parcel to, for the purpose of delivering it.

4 Keeping it secure

Your account and order data sit in Google's Firebase infrastructure, behind the same account rules used across the shop's admin panel. No payment credentials ever pass through our systems — UPI and card details are handled entirely inside your own bank's or UPI app, never typed into our checkout.

5 Your choices

You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — write to us using the details below and we will act on it, keeping only what we are required to for accounting or legal record-keeping.

6 Children

This site is meant for adults placing an order. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and Gutka Sahib sanmaan and maryada — like any order needing that care — is something we ask people to arrange with us in person rather than at checkout.

7 Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Please check back occasionally if you'd like to stay current.
